Abiram
Abiram [legitimate variant of Abram. For meaning see ABRAHAM].
1. A Reubenite, a brother of Dathan and fellow conspirator with Korah (Num. 16).
2. The firstborn son of Hiel, who rebuilt Jericho (1 Kin. 16:34). His death, when its foundations were laid, in part fulfilled a curse pronounced by Joshua (Josh. 6:26).
